Delightful dragon fun!

What a Dragon Should Know G. A. Aiken If you are following the Dragon Kin series, this is book #3, the story of Gwenvael the Handsome and his human mate, Dagmar ‘The Beast’ Reinholt. A delightful tale full of laughter and plots, to quote Ms. Aiken, “To keep a two hundred year old dragon entertained for another six hundred years when most dragons were spent plotting and planning ‘shenanigans and ‘hijinks,’ I needed a heroine who absolutely lived for ‘shenanigans’ and ‘hijinks.’” And she delivered with this couple. Queen Annwyl sends Gwenvael to the Northlands to answer a treaty request from The Reinholt, most powerful warlord in the area. When he asks to speak to the Reinholt, he is met with The Beast, a demure female who looks very unassuming, he laughs, hard. The Beast, the only daughter to The Reinholt, refuses to speak to him after that. She is her father’s advisor after years of plotting her way there. Information is power and currency in the political arena that is her life to survive in this harsh land and she is a gatherer of information, of any kind, any way she can, though a network of sources she has cultivated carefully over the years. Through in a dragon god who doesn’t like human, and is willing to let both the mother of the children he created and the children die, his mate who wanders with a great hunting dog who takes a liking to Dagmar, through in some Monitors, lightning dragons and a family feud ready to erupt into war and you have a delightful tale that keeps you laughing from the first page to the last. Ms. Aiken has a well crafted story sure to please all her readers.

About lyssareviews

I am a single, pagan female who loves the written word. I am doing reviews on books to feed my reading habit. I will post those reviews here. I also love movies, TV shows, and laughing with my friends. I love to cochet, and am starting to spin my own yarn. Boy, do I think there very fun stories in that! So they might show up here. Also I have two cats and a small dog. Valkyrie, Miss Dottie and Sir Luck the Pup.... their stories may also sneak in here from time to time, to stay tuned.
