A Witch Central Wedding # 3.5 by Debora Geary
Ohhhh, the day that we were waiting for since A Reckless Witch, Lauren makes a responsible man out of our reckless Devin Sullivan and he is scared out of his mind. Going to his favorite deserted stretch of beach – or having his brother teleport him there – and grounding and centering himself in a lifelong ceremony isn’t enough to calm his nerves. He shouldn’t fear that his new bride will take him away from his beloved ocean, Lauren knows him too well.
Lauren spends most of the morning making sure that their new house on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean is ready for her new husband. Then she gives into the triplets and their ideas of wedding planning, while making sure that she doesn’t let Aervyn know that he is teaching her father to ride a broom so they could come up the isle that way. Yes, we finally get to meet her parents, non-witches that they are, they love their daughter enough to embrace what she has become and handle it well, including the witchling antics that go on around Witch Central. We also get to meet more fully Michael – non-witch father of the Sullivan’s – and Retha their water witch mother. Who Devin planned their wedding for the day she decided to take the crone title so that she would be one of the Elder females to lead the circle for the blessing on his marriage.
This was a wonderful light glimpse into the lives of our witches when a crisis was not upon them – well, don’t tell Devin that – and they are celebrating a normal happening, if you can call a witches circle, flying broom sticks and teleporting up and down the beach normal, and a very special day with our first witch. I loved the romance that seeped into this book, the love that flowed out each separate page. Another rating of five stars. If you reading this series, you must pick this one up, a great addition to the series.
