Who Really Controls Our Dreams
Steven Coll is different from most people. He has hid it so well that he is in the top ranks of the Chimera as a recuriter. He knows that Maisie Lane is powerful, more powerful than most Revelers, she drifts effortlessly Darkside, the dream world, in and out of people’s dreams, not always the Agora – the place policed by the Chimera and set up as safe shared dreaming areas. He finds her ‘bothersome’, someone he can’t help wanting. But he’s different, and with her in the Chimera he must soon move on.
Maisie Lane knows her sister is a Chimera, and that she needs to get away from the powerful people she has been working for, but that doesn’t mean she is joining the Chimera, dreams were made for mischief snd shouldn’t have police. She is stuck with Steve at the momemt, boring Steve-o but she has to find a way out by herself.
This is the second installment of this series and while good, it moved a little slow for me. I kept getting to easily distracted from it. I loved the characters, their interactions was very believable and intense. As this installment unfolds you keep wanting to know more about Steve’s past. Then the game changer moment makes you go ‘Okay… didn’t see that one coming.’
I give this one four stars for progessing the story line and throwing in the twist that makes you race for number three in this series
